Thus, as one of these new initiatives and investments; Erdem Holding purchased the major shares of AGDAS in April 2003 and became to be the major partner of the company, which had been established by Adapazarı Municipality in 1993 and begun operating for Turkish economy.
AGDAS which had been limitedly operating previously, owing to the limited opportunities of municipality and the economic consequences of the earthquake, started the construction of city electric distribution system in May 29, 2003 and commenced its investment facilities as planned after ERDEM HOLDING’s being the major partner via buying its shares in April 2003. In a short time a total of 28 km steel and 238 km. polyethylene pipeline is laid to the seven different areas of the city thus proving a great success.
AGDAS will supply gas to the invested areas with ceremony on the date October 29, 2003 which coincides with the 80th anniversary of our Republic. AGDAS who took the city gas distribution license from EPDK for 30 years, will continue its investments towards Adapazarı and Turkish economy with its 8 trillion capital and 155 persons specialist staff.
