The “2010 Environment Award” goes to AGDAŞ
AGDAŞ, the provider of natural gas, a cheap and comfortable fuel, in the city of Sakarya, won the 2010 Environment Award.
The Chamber of Industry and Commerce of Sakarya (SATSO) granted AGDAŞ the “2010 Environment Award” for the company’s investments concerning natural gas services in the city of Sakarya and its contributions to add value to the city since 2003. The General Manager of AGDAŞ, Kenan Demir, to whom the award was presented by Sakarya’s Representative of Parliament Şaban Dişli at the ceremony held at SATSO, said: “Thanks to our infrastructure investments, we were able to deliver natural gas services to most of Sakarya, providing the residents of the city with the opportunity to use a cheap and comfortable fuel as well as contributing greatly to our city’s clean air. As a result of our efforts AGDAŞ has won the ‘2010 Environment Award’ granted by SATSO; with this award our environmental responsibilities are now more important than ever ”.
Demir also pointed out that besides making natural gas infrastructure investments in Sakarya, the company's active role in such "social projects" was another proof of merit. He thanked the chairman of SATSO Mr. Akgün Altuğ the President Engin Özkoç and the Board of Directors of SATSO for their appreciation of the efforts of the company.
