GEORGE WASHINGTON UNIVERSITY

The foundations of the Student Exchange Program between the George Washington University in the US and İstanbul University were laid by Ph. D. Zeynel Abidin Erdem, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Erdem Holding.

After signing of the Student Exchange Protocol between the two universities, the George Washington University shall seek cooperation with other universities in Anatolia as well. The Foreign Relations Development Director of the George Washington University , Robert J. Kott, who visited the President of İstanbul University, Ph. D. Kemal Alemdaroğlu and Ph. D. Zeynel Abidin Erdem said that 15% of the students of the University came from abroad and student applications from Turkey were second in number after Korea.

Ph. D. Erdem, who is also the President of TABA AmCham, stated that getting close to each other of Turkish and American students at the educational level is very important for mutual exchanging of ideas.
