Collaboration Between GENPA And Sisli Polytechnic High School

In GENPA GSM training laboratory established in Sisli Polytechnic
High School in 2007, theoretical and practical training courses are offered to the students about the operation principles of hand terminals and the GSM infrastructure. These students are expected to bring around added value to our country in their capacity as competent technicians upon their graduation.

Intending to rise the bar in Genpa’s recruits of staff members in addition to the training of students for the last two years, a training protocol was signed between General Directorate of Boys Technical Education, operating under the Ministry of National Education, and Genpa, in 2009 summer season. The purpose of this protocol is to offer pre-recruitment “on-the-job” training to such high qualified human resources who are aware of technological development and current mobile phone repair methods and who can make use of theoretical and application knowledge they are equipped with, given the fact that such high-quality staff members are needed in the mobile phone repair field .

Particular attention was paid to the fact that those persons attending GENPA/ GSM Level 2 on-the-job Training which lasted three weeks between August 30th and September 18th were particularly graduates of Sisli Polytechnic School Electronics Department.

Trainees were selected on the basis of the content of the training course and as a result of interviews held by Human Resources which intended to find out if candidates were fit for the purpose, Mr. Aytac Yılmaz, the Electronic Communication Department Manager at Sisli Polytechnic Highschool and Mr. Mehmet Dagci, Genpa R&D Specialist provided the theoretical and applied “On-the-Job Training” for 12 trainees selected as a result of those interviews.

By the end of three weeks, the participants successfully completed the training and were certified with the Ministry of National Education. Certificates were delivered to all Trainees in a ceremony honored by the attendance of Mr. Mehmet Rıza Erdem, the Board member of Genpa, and Mr. Ali Tolga Sahin, the Deputy General Manager in charge of Aftermarket Services. By the end of the training, 9 trainees were found to be eligible to work at Genpa and their recruitment process were successfully completed and they started to work actively.
